We are excited and honored to share our latest collaboration – a partnership with the Office of the First Lady and The Teachers Guild. One Workplace will be joining a world class group of innovators and educators who are committed to re-imagining learning and education. Most importantly we are cordially inviting you to join us in working to answer the question:
How might we create programs, processes, and tools to provide ongoing support to all students on their journey to and through college?
The Teachers Guild is a professional community of educators and designers from the global design firm IDEO’s Design for Learning Studio. Having participated in previous design thinking exercises with The Teachers Guild, One Workplace was again engaged to contribute their insights and findings from work with our education clients. This collaboration will focus on First Lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, inspiring every student in America to take charge of their future by completing their schooling past high school. The greater goal: by 2020, the United States aims to once again have the highest proportion of college graduates in the world.
Joining us on this journey is easy. Just bring your amazing ideas and an open mind to www.teachersguild.org and start sharing your stories, ideas, and thoughts.
By becoming a part of this collaboration you will be working with One workplace and some of the brightest minds in education including the First Lady’s Reach Higher and Better Make Room initiatives and the college-access organizations: Blue Engine, College Advising Corps, College Possible, Franklin and Marshall College, and National College Advising Network. Also joining us are technology and design innovators: Facebook, Google for Education, Medium, and Salesforce.org. You can learn more about our partners in the Teachers Guild Collaboration Brief.
We are delighted to bring you along for this journey, so please stay tuned for more information and ways you can participate.
