We loved helping to spread the word of the National Week of Making (June 17 – June 23, 2016). Join us in continuing to celebrate the makers around the nation-big or small, young or old, community lead or independently lead.
The White House hosted (with a group of powerful maker organizations) their first Maker Faire in 2014 to celebrate all the tinkerers, doers, builders, and innovators around the nation. This year’s Maker Faire in Washington D.C. was June 18-19. Click here to learn more about this year’s event.
At One Workplace, we’re passionate about the maker movement around the world in learning environments and beyond. We believe that if we are able to have a maker mindset in the classroom, we can build amazing things together. We strive to be your resource for innovation and making inside the classrooms, and to help you build your very own maker environment.
OWP hosted their very own two week maker event last year titled, ONEder. On the last day of our event, nearly one hundred leaders in education and design gathered in Oakland for a full day of maker activities, presentations, and hands-on fun. We had our good friends Emily Pilloton and Victor Diaz there to help us drive the importance of Maker education. Click here to relive the event!
