Identifies, qualifies, drives and closes new profitable business opportunities. Will qualify client need, budget, location and time constraints. Must have ability to build relationships with clients, designers, architects, general contractors, construction/project managers, developers and business owners. Must also participate in business and community organizations such as IFMA, BOMA, etc., and develop strategic partnerships with manufacturers’ representatives. The ability to gain knowledge of Steelcase and DIRTT modular products as well as achieve product presentation software expertise is essential. Must be able to organize and accompany in and out of town factory visits as well as attend construction meetings.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred with related industry experience. Must have strong strategic selling skills with the ability to “close the sale” and the ability to sell to all levels within an organization. Strong creative and persuasive marketing and presentation skills are also necessary as well as excellent business and peer communication skills. Knowledge of commercial construction and scheduling required. Experience with modular products (walls, floors, power/data, etc) desired. Must have excellent computer skills with the ability to master new software applications. Must be well organized with impeccable work and business ethics.
