Functions as primary client contact for project. Manages moderate to large-scale projects from beginning to completion, with an emphasis on cost effectiveness and customer service. Interfaces with all departments within One Workplace, client contacts and other professionals to accomplish successful completion of project. Plans, manages and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third party interface and relations, performance quality and customer satisfaction, budget and project administration for each assigned project.

  1. Customer / Account Servicing
    a. Is the main point of contact for the customer for all project communications during the project process.
    b. Provides professional customer interface and client relations throughout the project.
    c. Is responsible for customer sign offs, approval, change orders and formal paperwork at the completion of project.
  2.  Project Planning, Coordination and Management
    a. Establishes overall schedule and manages dealer/manufacturer team to ensure coordinated effort.
    b. Develops work plan, schedules, and logistics and organizes deliveries based on overall project parameters, project schedule and scope, and customer’s goals.
    c. Reviews project site, plans and product orders in collaboration with the design team.
    d. May need to assist in establishing fees, developing quote/presentations and making presentations to customers. May need to assist Account Manager in producing professional, accurate quotations that protect the profit margin and interest of One Workplace; along with timely tracking of all project related orders.
    e. Provides technical consultation to customer and customer’s team/vendors.
    f. Provides single point of contact and coordinates with client and all third party firms (A&D firms, contractor, cabling vendor, building manager, electrician and other trades, client’s facility and IT groups, movers, etc.)
  3. Project Administration
    a. Maintains detailed project documentation, of key project decisions and customer/project requests/revisions.
    b. Provides timely, formal written communication throughout project to client and project team.
    c. Manages accurate and detailed project files.
  4. Project Implementation and Order Management
    a. As needed, reviews plans and specifications for accuracy, completeness and correct product application prior to order placement.
    b. Coordinates with sales coordination for order entry notes and delivery scheduling.
    c. Reviews ship dates for adherence to original requirements
    d. As required, interfaces with manufacturing representative, as necessary, regarding shipping schedules and special instructions for manufacturing/shipping.
    e. Plans and supervises product delivery and installation, including performance of work, installation administration and timeliness of task completion.
    f. Attends project, construction and/or design meetings, as required.
  5. Punch, Invoicing & Project Close-out
    a. Walks project and develops opens issues/punch list, responsible for their resolutions.
    b. Responsible for project close out documentation.
  6. Other Tasks
    a. Manages small, on-going account/service work, as required.
    b. Inventories existing product, as required.
    c. Responsible for tracking/logging time into Time Database.
    d. Manages project hours to budgeted hours ensuring project profitability.
    e. Represents One Workplace with professionalism and integrity at all times.

Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Good verbal and written communication skills, must be extremely organized with good time management skills, must be able to analyze and problem solve. Complete understanding of furniture product utilization including architectural integration. Strong product and technical knowledge, including applicable building codes, correct product applications, custom applications and pricing, price estimating and solicitation, and electricity and cabling requirements. Must be able to read blueprints, use a measuring tape and an electronic measuring tape. Knowledge of all aspects of contract furniture management, including account management, project management, order preparation and management, installation, relocations, storage management and contract furniture administration. Knowledge of interior construction, interior design, moves and relocations, trucking, furniture manufacturing and shipping, building management and current workplace issues. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project. Basic project estimation and budget management skills.
Works independently in situations that are fast-paced with frequent deadlines, constant interruptions and changing priorities. Work is very detail oriented. Nature of work requires intermittent unusual hours and significant time spent out of the office. Responsibility to make important decisions and exercises prudent judgment with minimal guidance
