Cradle to Cradle™ 
Founded by William McDonough and Dr. Michael Braungart, MBDC seeks to promote eco-friendly and cost-efficient design principles. Part of MBDC is the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) Certification program. This program designates those products whose materials and production processes are waste free. All technical components can be recycled or reused, without loss of quality. For manufacturers, this means using enviromentally safe and healthy materials, creating a design for material reutilization, using renewable energy and maximizing energy efficiency, efficiently using water and maximizing water quality, and instituting strategies for social responsibility. C2C Certification ensures maximum health, safety, effectiveness, and reutilization.

SCS Indoor Advantage™ 
The Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) organization was founded in 1984 as an internationally recognized, neutral third party to certify environmentally safe indoor products. The SCS Indoor Advantage certification program identifies those products that meet specific indoor air quality emission requirements. These standards are set by the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer’s Association (BIFMA) and the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The program applies to any non-flooring product generally used within an enclosed indoor environment including wall coverings, systems furniture, casegoods, and insulation.

SCS Indoor Advantage™ Gold
The Scientific Certification Systems (SCS) organization was founded in 1984 as an internationally recognized, neutral third party to certify environmentally safe indoor products. The SCS Indoor AdvantageGold certification program applies to any non-flooring product generally used within an enclosed indoor environment such as wall coverings, systems furniture, casework, and insulation. The program tests and certifies products for compliance with the indoor air quality emission requirements of BIFMA, LEED, and California Section 01350, an environmental standard specification to cover key environmental performance issues.
