The event was led by the Teachers Guild – an offshoot of the acclaimed international design firm IDEO – as well as the One Workplace Learning Environments Team and the Sonoma County Office of Education. Giving this mission a sense of purpose was a question asked of the entire assembly, a question tuned to discover how and when we know we are learning, and what it feels like. “I Know I am Learning When….”
This event was a kick-off for a more than six month collaborative process which will lead a global mix of participants through the Design Thinking process. Subsequent collaborations are taking place by way of a mix of online and in-person workshops and discovery exercises.
The initial phase of these explorations have already begun via a web portal where educators and designers from all over the world have submitted their perspective, research, and experiences.
Once the many ideas have been explored and evolve into potential solutions, One Workplace will will assist with the implementation of one of the game-changing breakthroughs generated!
We are extremely honored and excited to join our friends at Sonoma County and the Teachers Guild in fostering a new approach to teacher learning, and enhancing the learning experience for all learners. Stay tuned for more developments as we continue to work towards solving these challenges.
