Running a non-profit, early childhood learning organization with 50+ centers delivering free or reduced cost childcare to over 4000 children in the Bay Area takes a dedicated and committed staff. Our team was honored to design and deliver Kidango's Fremont administration center on a streamline budget, creating the widest variety of flexible work, meeting and focus spaces to support their regional team members with av technology and furniture as architecture to minimize construction costs.
Training rooms today take on many tasks, and Kidango's is a perfect example. Mobile tables in shapes that allow multiple configurations, durable and comfortable stacking chairs, a mobile large screen monitor to allow for best visibility for all meeting participants whether in person or remote, and the Juice Tree, self contained, mobile, charging unit delivers power where needed. And all the elements can be stored away neatly when unneeded.
In this compact floor plan, we added many small meeting spaces with differing levels of visual and voice privacy. From enclosed meeting pods and phone rooms to semi-enclosed retreat lounges and felt wrapped workstation dividers, to small technology enabled huddle rooms, Kidango offers choices.

Our mission to transform an office park space into a warm and welcoming home for Kidango uses every square inch of space thoughtfully and economically. Creating spaces with rotating and hanging felt screens, adding paint, carpets and colorful carpet tiles, including felted pendants and workstation dividers, and comfortable ancillary seating and tables brought Phase 1 of this project to life.
