(Sacramento, CA) Nine months after it announced the acquisition of Sacramento’s United Corporate Furnishings (UCF), One Workplace announces a relaunch of the company as One Workplace Sacramento. Led by General Manager Graham Wallace, the name change acknowledges an evolution in the company’s position as a partner to organizations and design teams that create workplaces that are as creative as they are high performing.
“We are introducing progressive ways of thinking about space in the way that One Workplace does,” said Graham, in a nod to the Santa Clara-based company’s status as the largest interior solutions firm on the West Coast with deep expertise in workplace design as a catalyst for people, brand and culture.
“We are students of the workplace, and we challenge ourselves to think deeply about what space is and what it can do for a company,” said Wallace. “We have built out our Sacramento offerings to include not just service in the delivery of furniture and decor, but also construction, technology and day two services that elevate the experience of designing, installing and working in offices, learning, or healthcare environments. We also look forward to engaging with the creative community and hosting ONEder conversations that invite the design industry in to explore thought-provoking topics.”
Santa Clara-based One Workplace is anchored by its legacy as one of Steelcase’s largest partners, offering 1000+ lines of ancillary furniture, teams that specialize in technology, construction (prefab and onsite) and expertise in optimizing space in service of a brand’s mission.
United Corporate Furnishings was acquired in April 2019 as a part of the company’s recent West Coast expansion, and the team has remained intact during the transition to One Workplace. Recent projects of note include UC Davis, Sacramento State University and DPR Construction’s new offices in midtown. One Workplace was also just selected to the team that is implementing the expansion of the 16,200 SF innovation center for VSP Global® at The Cannery.
