A spacious, highly flexible new resource at UC Davis, we loved working on The Writing Center where students can learn/be mentored to improve writing skills. Welcoming, well lit architectural design and precision construction by SmithGroup and DPR Construction create the shell for agile interior solutions from our team at One Workplace Sacramento.

Freestanding Orangebox Air pods were the perfect solution to the challenge of creating freestanding offices for professors and instructors in a space with a high ceiling deck. The louvered ceiling design feature eliminates the need to connect to fire/life safety.
Single pods with work surface area and seating to support two people create spaces for students to work individually or in teams of two. Glazed office walls offer transparency and keep the natural light flowing through the space.
Spaces for learners and educators, private spaces and open work areas, individual and team spaces, supporting multiple postures and learning styles, The UC Davis Writing Center offers something for everyone.
The building design, construction and the Steelcase interior solutions amplify the beauty of the UC Davis campus setting and all the natural bounties offered in Sacramento. The Writing Center is a sweet new spot for learning.
